Wow, washing fruits and veggies is an incredible way to get your little ones involved in the kitchen! It's not just a simple activity to keep them busy, but it also fosters a sense of belonging and independence in your child. Plus, it's a fantastic opportunity to explore colors, science (do they sink or float?), size and weight, counting, and even learn about where these delicious foods come from. This fun and engaging activity often ignites curiosity in children, leading them to explore by licking, feeling, or even tasting the fruits and veggies as they help with the cleaning process.
Activity details
Age suitability: 1 year plus (with supervision)
Time to set up: 2 minutes
Can I reuse: This activity can be popped into the fridge and reused.
How long a child will play: It can be disheartening when we put in effort to set up an activity and our child only interacts for a few minutes before losing interest. This is NORMAL. A child's attention span is roughly 1 minute per year of age, making a 3 year old's attention span around 3-5 minutes. These minutes are still super powerful and make a huge impact, so never ever consider it a waste of time, I promise it's benefiting your child. We recommend to leave activities out for at-least a few hours so your child can go back and fourth when they feel.
